禅宗的特色在公案，公案的重点却是在于禅机。凌厉、霸道的禅机展现在逼拶，玄秘、深奥的禅机却是展现在平常，正所谓平常心是道。
封面构图主要以细沙堆砌而成，共分上下二册。上册呈现的是白天，下册呈现的是夜晚。整体所要表达的是不论白天或夜晚都走在马祖大师所说的“平常心是道”。此思路源自于马祖大师临终所说的“日面佛月面佛”。
幸近甲子之年，怀着一份感恩的心，编辑此《禅门公案》，报答善知识并供养有缘人。
